Relevant Information

I have been actively involved in helping women to birth babies on a learning/ professional level since January of 1996, when I began an apprenticeship in midwifery with a Colorado midwife. My academic schooling in midwifery began in the fall of 1998. That was followed by an internship in Ohio among the Amish for 5 months. Additionally I have worked with several Colorado midwives both before and after midwifery school in an apprenticeship role. My CPM (Certified Professional Midwife) certification required the MEAC - http://www.meacschools.org - schooling mentioned above, an internship, and an 8 hour exam. I keep my Neonatal Resuscitation certification current - http://www.aap.org/nrp/nrpmain.html as well as my CPR Professional Certificate for aduts and children.
